The movement

A Japanese NH35 automatic rather than a quartz module. No battery, serviceable by any watchmaker, built to keep running for decades rather than years.

The case and bracelet

316L stainless steel throughout. The bracelet is machined to tighter tolerances than a strap construction, and it is the single largest cost in the watch.

The dial

Applied indices and a cross marker at twelve, set individually rather than printed. Printed indices cost a fraction and look it.

The scale we work at

We build in small runs, not container loads. That costs more per watch than mass production, and it is the honest reason the price sits where it does.

Movement: NH35 automatic, 24 jewels, hand-winding and hacking seconds, approx. 41 h power reserve.
Case: 316L stainless steel, brushed and polished finishing.
Crystal: Sapphire crystal, scratch-resistant, with anti-reflective treatment.
Water resistance: 5 ATM. Handles handwashing, rain and swimming. Not rated for diving. Always check the crown is fully closed before contact with water.
Bracelet: Stainless steel, adjustable. A sizing toolkit is included with every order.

Is the watch built before or after I order?

After. Each watch is assembled once the order is placed, which is why delivery takes longer than from a stock-holding brand.

Why does it cost more than watches with the same movement?

The movement is the cheapest part of any automatic watch. Case construction, applied dial work and production scale account for the difference.

Can I return it if it is not for me?

You have 30 days from delivery to return the watch unworn and in original condition.

Can I resize the bracelet myself?

A sizing toolkit is included and the bracelet can be adjusted at home without a watchmaker.

Can I swim with it?

Yes. At 5 ATM the watch handles handwashing, rain and swimming. It is not rated for diving, and we would not recommend wearing it for laps day after day. Check the crown is fully closed before it touches water.
